Why Guards Lose Rounds
Most guard losses in Be an Anomaly or Guard are not weapon skill gaps — they are formation breaks. Solo peeks in maintenance, silent stacks without callouts, and panic rotates during GUILT debuff windows feed anomalies more kills than any tier list advantage.
Survival means keeping three guard fundamentals every round: paired movement, objective discipline, and utility budgeting for finale compression.
Positioning on Backrooms
Anchor central junction until objective ping, then push as trio. Leave delayed flex to catch flanks — never send four guards one direction while Locust holds generator hall.
Maintenance clears require two minimum with staggered sight for SCP-173. Generator hall requires spread formation before entering.
Finale: pre-stage at extraction lane choke with utilities ready — do not arrive late from yellow hall sprints.
Callout Standards
Use short landmark names from our map guide: junction, generator, maintenance, stair core, extraction.
Call anomaly type when identified — tier list tells you priority target order.
Ping missing teammates before rotating; Smile Room and Boiled One hunt isolated guards first.
Utility and Focus Fire
Stun during ability wind-ups, not after kill feeds. One coordinated burst beats five random shots.
Assign focus caller when two anomalies active — split damage feeds SCP-682 rampage value.
Save one flash for extraction phase; early waste loses finale trades.
